If you are using the Windows 8.1 Operating System you might be installed some applications from Windows Store which you are using regularly. While working with those applications on desktop environment you can pin it on the Taskbar to make the availability easy. Now, in any reason you want to disable that feature it is possible by the Group Policy Editor. On your keyboard, press Win+R keys to open run dialog box, enter gpedit.ms to open Local Group Policy Editor. In that window go to Computer Configuration, Administrative> Templates>Star Menu and Taskbar at the right side select the option "Do not allow pinning Store app to the Taskbar" and double click it to Enable. This will not allow you to pin any Windows Store programs on the Taskbar.
